Our Work Speaks

Over the years, we've been lucky enough to work on some pretty amazing projects. Each one's taught us something new about merging natural systems with modern living. Here's a look at what we've been building lately.

EcoHub Commercial Center

This one was a game-changer for us. We convinced the client to go all-in on a 4,200 sq ft green roof system and it's become Toronto's most talked-about commercial space. The solar array actually generates 40% more power than the building needs.

Honeycomb House
Biomimetic Residential

Honeycomb House

Inspired by bee colonies' thermal regulation. The hexagonal wall pattern isn't just for looks - it actually manages airflow like you wouldn't believe.

Forest Floor Office
Interior

Forest Floor Office

Tech startup wanted something different. We brought the outside in with a living wall system and forest-floor inspired acoustics.

Riverside Community Hub
LEED Gold Urban Planning

Riverside Community Hub

This project took three years of community meetings, but man, was it worth it. We turned a forgotten industrial lot into a thriving community space. The permeable paving alone reduced local flooding by 60%.

Mississauga, ON 2023 Mixed-Use
Canopy Living
Net-Zero Residential

Canopy Living

12-unit townhouse complex that actually hit net-zero in its first year. The passive solar design does most of the heavy lifting.

Nautilus Medical Center

Nautilus Medical Center

The spiral facade pattern mimics nautilus shell geometry for natural ventilation. Patients swear the recovery rooms feel different.

Hamilton, ON 2023
Garden Top Residence
Residential

Garden Top Residence

Client wanted a rooftop garden and we went kinda crazy with it. Now they grow 70% of their produce up there.

Toronto, ON 2024
Solar Heights Retail
LEED Silver Commercial

Solar Heights Retail

Shopping center that pays back to the grid. The photovoltaic canopy covers parking and generates enough juice for the whole complex plus some.

Vaughan, ON 2023
Waterfront Commons
Urban Planning

Waterfront Commons

Five-year urban renewal project that reconnected three neighborhoods to the waterfront. We studied tidal pool ecosystems for the stormwater management - sounds weird but it works beautifully.

Toronto, ON 2022-2024 Public Space
Daylight Studios
Interior

Daylight Studios

Creative agency workspace where we played with circadian lighting patterns. The team reported 35% less eye strain - that's pretty cool validation.

Toronto, ON 2024
Vertigo House
LEED Platinum Residential

Vertigo House

This hillside home was tricky - steep slope, unstable soil, neighbors worried about runoff. We borrowed from root system architecture to create a foundation that actually stabilized the whole area.

Caledon, ON 2023 4,800 sq ft
Breathing Library
Commercial

Breathing Library

Community library with a ventilation system inspired by termite mounds. No mechanical cooling needed even during summer - the building literally breathes on its own.

How We Approach Each Project

Look, every site tells you what it wants to be if you're willing to listen. We spend probably too much time in the early stages just observing - sun patterns, wind flows, how water moves, what's already growing there.

Site Analysis

We spend weeks studying natural patterns before touching a pencil.

Biomimetic Research

Nature's been solving design problems for millions of years longer than us.

Community Input

The people using the space always know something we don't.

Performance Testing

We model everything before building - saves time and headaches.
